Motif FoodWorks is trying to change that.

Motif FoodWorks is a Boston-based company making strides towards the improvement of plant-based foods with an exclusive partnership with Gingko Bioworks. From meat burgers to dairy products, Motif FoodWorks has focused on developing specific ingredients to improve the overall taste of plant-based products.

Motif FoodWorks classifies their approach to the foodtech space into three different parts: analyze, discover, and design.

Analyze

Motif FoodWorks delves into scientific and consumer insights to look for opportunities or issues that need to be addressed. From oral processing physics (the physics of chewing and the breakdown of food in our mouth — cool, right?!) to the neurology behind food consumption, Motif FoodWorks dives deep into the way people consume food to optimize the process.
